Well, the new year is off to a great start! I caught this halibut on Thursday, January 10, 2008. Decided to take a day off and fish the San Diego bay. I really wasn't expecting to catch much, but I got a nice surprise. This bad boy hit my lure around 1:00 in the afternoon and turned out to be the biggest halibut I've ever caught. We've enjoyed some nice filets off of this one.
